Headteacher’s Welcome

On behalf of our staff, Governors and pupils it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our school website. Larkswood Primary Academy is a three form entry primary school which is a member of a not for profit organisation The Lime Trust, established to share and embed good practice between schools. We have places for around 750 children, with a maximum of 30 children per class, catering for children between the ages of two and eleven.

Our children come from rich cultural and linguistic backgrounds and everyone is valued as part of our friendly learning community. We have very high expectations of what children can achieve and strive to innovate and inspire all children to attain their very best and to become confident and productive individuals. The school is committed to a broad and balanced curriculum acknowledging the importance of Physical Education and competition. Our very high expectation of behaviour has resulted in a school environment that is very calm, productive and positive.  We welcome parents and carers as partners in their children’s education, and work hard to ensure positive links between learning at home and at school.

Our modern building provides an exceptional learning environment and we focus on creating learning experiences for children that will develop creative thinkers, lifelong learners and academic success. Rigorous quality assurance processes and thorough on going training opportunities for all staff ensure that we provide a high standard of teaching, with the commitment that every child has the opportunity to make a successful start to their education. Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and we look forward to meeting you.

Very best wishes

Lynne Harrowell
